SUNDAY, JUNE 19th at 12:30 PM
Celebrate Juneteenth by commemorating a New Brunswick woman named 'Dinah' (aka 'Daanna Wilson') who was born into slavery and survived 100+ years of the American experience. This event will consist of a presentation with live music to sketch the life of 'Dinah' as we currently understand it, and to solicit feedback from community as we work towards making a documentary film that will premiere later this year.
Do you have views about who, how, when, and why we should tell these kinds of stories? If so, we invite you to take part in a Juneteenth commemoration event at the Sanctuary of Christ Church, New Brunswick, located at 170 Neilson Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
